Key Information ……. remember that most things you need to know are on our school website:
Our charity of the year for 2020 is Abbie’s
Army which supports children suffering
from Brain Cancer. But for our first
fundraising event, we will be raising money

Monday 3rd February will be a non-uniform

We have seen lots of happy, smiley faces this week! We have been impressed with how polite and courteous lots of children across the school have been. Well done to the children for showing such beautiful manners.
Mr Appleby saw some fantastic reading skills in Dragonflies this week. The children were using their sounds really well and were excited to talk about their topic about dragons.
Mr Appleby & Mrs Griffiths, Assistant Headteachers
Our space lunch was a huge success.
Thank you to Mr Porter and his team
for cooking an amazing meal and to
our Midday Assistants for creating
the space atmosphere .
Parenting Together Support Programme
This is an exciting new service aimed at
supporting parents in Essex who are
finding it hard to cope with the struggles
of family life.
It is a self-referral service and if you wish
to find out more information, take a
leaflet from reception or ask in upper
school office to speak with Mrs
Champion.
Weird and Wonderful!
THANK YOU to all of the children who participated in our ‘Weird and Wonderful’ competition which took place over the holiday. We were excited to see the wonderful and creative places that you found to read a book and thoroughly enjoyed looking through all of the entries.
CONGRATULATIONS to: Ted Tuckerman (BB) and Chloe Hammond (6W) for having the most creative ideas! You will both receive a book voucher to spend on your next exciting book!
All picture entries will be displayed in Upper and Lower School for you to admire.
Well done and keep reading!

WHEATSHEAF WEEKLY / KIDS ZONE
We still need a new name for this weekly newsletter and kids page. Please let
your teacher know your ideas before next Friday.
Hello, my name’s Charlie and I
want to create an extra page on
our weekly newsletter written
by the kids. If you have any
ideas for this, come and talk to
me in 5W.
Hi, my name’s Olivia and I have a brother with
special needs. I go to a club called Kool Carers
which really helps me.
If you have a sibling with additional needs, I’d
like to help you. I’ve put together this Power-
point on our school website Hidden Disabili-
ties.
If you’d like to talk to me, I’m 6F’s school
councillor, so just come and find me.
Mrs Champion welcomed the newest recruits to the Anti-Bullying Ambassador team this morning to their first meeting and looks forward to working with them this year and listening to all their fantastic ideas!
