this study

► samples filtered in entirety at NADP Central Analytical Laboratory

► filters desiccated, sealed in Petri dishes, and sent to Cereal Disease Lab (CDL)

► filters sonicated at CDL to remove spores

► CDL tests for Phakopsora pachyrhizi using nested real-time qPCR

► positive assay indicates presence of P. pachyrhizi spores in rain

This map displays counties where P. pachyrhizi was detected in soybean or other legumes between January and the week ending 6 June. The map also displays where spores were detected in rain samples collected 3 weeksprior to the week ending 6 June (i.e., in rain occurring between 9 & 30 May).
