For over fifteen years Parbold Douglas Music has presented concerts for children each season. 400 local primary school children are given the experience of coming to a special place to listen to the creation of live music played by international artists and musicians at each Pied Piper concert.

Classical and early Romantic periods on gut strings and with historical bows. The quartet’s unique sound – described in The Observer as ‘a shock to the ears of the best kind’– is highly acclaimed by audiences and critics all over Europe.
The quartet was a prize-winner of the German Förderpreis Deutschlandfunk/Musikfest Bremen in 2013 and received Germany’s most prestigious CD award, the Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik in 2015.

This is a show like nothing you’ve ever seen before – expect feel-good dancing tunes, audience participation...foot-percussion (whilst playing the accordion!) and humour aplenty.
The Hut People have established themselves as a unique, entertaining and well-loved act on the UK folk scene today. Accordionist Sam Pirt and percussionist Gary Hammond have performed alongside such legendary world-class acts as Nina Simone, The Dubliners and Sharon Shannon.

Natalie Clein has built a distinguished career. Natalie came to widespread attention at the age of sixteen when she won both the BBC Young Musician of the Year and the Eurovision Competition for Young Musicians. In 2015, Natalie Clein was appointed Artist in Residence and Director of Musical Performance at Oxford University.
Joseph Middleton specialises in song accompaniment and chamber music and is highly acclaimed within this field. In 2016 he became the first accompanist to win the Young Artist Award at the Royal Philharmonic Awards, the highest recognition for live classical music-making in the United Kingdom.

Two long-time friends perform George Gershwin on two Steinway D concert grands resounding to the exciting and rhythmic exuberance of Gershwin’s music in one of the unmissable spectacles of the concert platform.
Peter Donohoe CBE was born in Manchester and educated at Chetham’s School of Music. He performs frequently with Martin Roscoe. They have given performances in London and at the Edinburgh Festival and have recorded discs of Gershwin and Rachmaninov.
Martin Roscoe is very popular with Parbold audiences. He has had a distinguished career as a concerto soloist, as a recitalist and as a chamber musician. Martin was born in Halton, Runcorn, Cheshire.

The Australian guitarist Craig Ogden is one of the finest classical guitarists in the world whose albums have topped the UK classical charts. He is a household name to listeners of Classic FM and BBC Radio 3.

Jacqui was so moved when hearing Craig on Classic FM recently that she asked if they could record an album together. ‘I do it for your love’ was released in 2018. The sound is classic, timeless, and one of delicate beauty.
Their live programme includes a diverse mixture of intimate songs by everyone including Paul Simon’s I Do It for Your Love, Johnny Mercer’s Moon River and Michel Legrand’s How Do You Keep the Music Playing, with some popular, classic virtuoso guitar solos from Craig.

Nikolai Anatolievich Demidenko studied at the Moscow Gnessin School and the Moscow Conservatoire. He was a finalist at the 1976 Montreal International Piano Competition and the 1978 Tchaikovsky International Competition. Granted British citizenship in 1995 he currently holds a visiting professorship at the University of Surrey. Nikolai is a specialist in Frédéric Chopin and a noted champion of the works of composers such as Franz Schubert and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
