Writing:• The poster you are about to see is called the

“Holstee Manifesto”. Three business partners were about to embark on a new venture and before they did they decided they wanted to write down what they valued and believed in. They said above all they wanted to “live deliberately”.

• Your Topic: Choose at least 2 items from this list that you think are good ideas. Explain why you liked these ideas and what they might mean/look like in your life either now or in the future.

• Write one statement of your own that could be the beginning of your manifesto.

What Is In Your Manifesto?

• Write at least 5 value statements modeled after the Holstee Manifesto.

• You can label this your Manifesto or Creed—both names for a set of beliefs about life, work, anything clearly laid out in belief statements.

• Keep “I” and “Me” out of it, just state things you think are true about life, school, success, family, whatever you choose. Just try to be authentic, state what you truly think or believe.

• This is a rough draft, doesn’t have to be perfect but is due today.
