What's new in IBM SmartCloud for Social Business

The latest update of IBM SmartCloud® for Social Business contains new featuresand upgrades.

Spreadsheet enhancements for SmartCloud DocsNew and enhanced features have been implemented to give you additionalcapabilities in IBM SmartCloud® Docs.v You can hide or unhide a sheet.v You can preview a chart when you insert it or set the chart properties.

v When you edit a formula cell, all the references (including those that refer toother sheets) in the formula are highlighted with color.

v If you input a new range during editing, the new range is highlighted with anew different color.

v Indents are preserved when you import documents into SmartCloud Docs.v You can copy the content from one cell, select multiple cells, and paste the

content into a number of the selected cells.v Range expression and constant array expression are now supported.v With two new menu items, you can insert a row after the current row, and insert

a column after the current column.v You can insert a new sheet by using the right-click menu on the sheet tab.v Performance in document format conversion and in the speed of opening .ods

and .xls files is improved.

Chat with a Sametime rich client enhanced for SAMLSmartCloud for Social Business is a Security Assertions Markup Language (SAML)identity provider. If your organization uses federated identity managementhandled by SAML, you can now download and chat using a stand-alone SametimeConnect client and log in with your organization's authentication credentials.

If your organization uses a standard login, you can still use any stand-aloneSametime Connect client version 8.5.1 or later.

Engage administrators can configure the Sametime rich client forSAML authentication

If your users log in with your organization's authentication credentials and useSecurity Assertions Markup Language (SAML) token authentication for federatedidentity management, then you can create a pre-configured Sametime Connectclient that you can deploy to users. SAML support in the stand-alone rich clientsupports the form-based user/password login type.

Get the instructions for configuring and deploying the Sametime Connect clientready for SAML token-based authentication.
