AmpliTube 4 is here! This major upgrade to the worlds most powerful guitar and basstone studio for Mac/PC will take ou to a new leel of hper"realism and customi#ation of

)ew in AmpliTube 4 is an additional slot in the signal chain located right after the ampli8er

pre"amp section but before the power stage$ Most of ou will recogni#e this slot as thee-ects loop or insert$ This allows ou to add in up to 4 dais"chained e-ects for signal

processing before hitting the power section$

An stomp bo9 or rack e-ect can now be placed into an e-ects slot$ This means that

stomp bo9es can be used in the post rackB section' and rack e-ects can be used in an

stomp bo9 slot on an pedalboard or in the e-ects loop section$ This opens the door for

een more for creatie tweaking and innoatie sonic sculpting possibilities$

UltraTuner

Also stock in AmpliTube 4 is an upgraded tuner section with Es patented 1ltraTuner

technolog$ ts an essential piece of gear that will alwas make ou sound good!

To access 1ltraTuner' go to the Tuner section in the main chain and select 1ltraTuner from

the bottom left selector$

1ltraTuner utili#es a highl"responsie' patented tuner engine that makes it the most

accurate instrument tuner and calibration tool aailable$ t is precise to a 3/3;; thof a cent

F far beond human perception of pitch$ This fast response makes tuning a mechanical

instrument like guitar or bass a bree#e$ 1ltraTuners precision also makes it the perfect

app tuner for calibrating electronic instruments like intage snths$ t can also be a useful

tool for luthiers and guitar techs' helping them to perfectl set up an instrument$

light conditions$ t features a graduated Gat and sharp displa to indicate degrees from

pitch$ The letter in the center shows the detected note$ &hen the note is in tune' the

n the bottom right displa' 1ltraTuner proides a wae isuali#ation that gies feedback

of the pitch deiation as a simple right/left motion of the real waeform of our instrument$

A Gat note will moe the waeform to the left' while a sharp note will moe it to the

right$ A dead"center"pitched note is represented b a still waeform$

The pitch"tracking isuali#ation placed in the bottom left displa allows plaers to monitor

pitch oer time$ This is especiall useful in the studio for monitoring pitch of non"

with the strings natural fre7uenc to create a warbling e-ect' also known as LstratitisL

among guitar techs$

Cabinet sele!tion

AmpliTube 4 proides ama#ing control features for 8ne"tuning and tone sculpting one of

the most important components in the signal chain@ the speaker cabinet$ Iirst' it lets ou

mi9 and match speaker cabinets with the ampli8er oure using$ Choose the cabinet

thats most commonl used with the ampli8er' or select a completel di-erent cabinet

from all of the aailable models$

n addition to cabinet selection' ou can also change the phsical si#e and depth of thecabinet' thus adjusting the material resonance and response that naturall comes from

the speaker cabinet$ This creatie tool gies ou another leel of tonal Ge9ibilit F

increase the si#e of the cabinet' and oull notice more natural bass response$ %ecrease

the si#e of the cab and the signal tightens upB and the higher end becomes better

articulated$ The si#e adjustment features adds one more leel of hper realism to our

signal chain$

sculpt the perfect cabinet sound all within the conenience of our personal recording

space$ (ut what makes the new cab room een more realistic is the fact that it not onl

picks up the tonal character of the indiidual speakers' but it replicates the harmonic and

phsical interaction that occurs naturall betweenthe speakers to create the most

realistic sounding enironment aailable$ n short' ou can go hper F hper real with

miking up a cabinet!

6elect the speaker ou want to swap from the upper left miniature icon$ t will highlight in

gold$ Then select the speaker ou want to use in that position from the bottom carousel$

The number of aailable speakers depends on the cabinet models ou own$ The speakers

that do not belong to an of the cabinets ou own appear disabled in the carousel$

)ote@ 6peaker swapping is aailable for 3L guitar speakers onl$

with + highl"coeted recording microphones' and there are an additional 30 mics

aailable in the AmpliTube Custom 6hop$ AmpliTube 4 gies ou the choices and abilit to

6elect the target stand to edit with the L3L and LL s7uare buttons in the upper part of the

window aboe the speaker images' then select the desired microphone from the ertical

carousel on the right$ Moe the circles on the two speakers to set the desired mic

position$

Tra!& Controls

The Channel 6trip on the left contains the controls to adjust and tweak the sound on a

selected indiidual track$ The number in the upper left hand corner indicates which track

is currentl selected$

A +"band ,J section allows ou to 8ne tune the ,J on each indiidual track just like on aprofessional studio mi9ing console$ =ust below' ou 8nd the pan controls for placing the

track in the stereo 8eld along with a console"stle fader and its leel meter for 8ne tuning

the olume leel of the track$

The main indiidual track controls include solo' mute' record"arm' and the abilit to

actiate the AmpliTube signal chain with the IO button$

note@ The real time monitoring is alwas actie on the armed track$

Access the editing commands b right clicking on the clip ou want to edit$ These

functions proide all the basic tools ou need for working with audio regions$

Click C1T to delete the clip and load it onto our clipboard where it can be pasted into

another track and/or position

Access the AmpliTubes optional .ooper feature b selecting .HHP, from the

AmpliTube standalone upper bar$

.ooper gies ou a conenient wa to record and pla up to 4 loops at a time$ ts perfect

for when ou want to e9periment and come up with cool new ideas$ )ow ou can create

our own accompaniment and pla with all sorts of di-erent melodies' leads and chordprogressions on the G and at the touch of a button$ The .ooper section is totall

independent from the ecorder section$

The 8rst thing oull notice about the .ooper is ou hae 4 tracks$ Theres no limit to how

long ou can make our loops$ The recording time is limited onl b the amount of disk

space ou hae on our computer$ Koweer' note that the loop length for loops ' + and 4

are set b the start and stop recording time for track 3$

"oop ,8 the referen!eThere are two options to record the 8rst loop@ freel or with a metronome$

9ree modeClick the record icon on the 8rst loop to immediatel start recording$ Click the

red stop icon to close the loop' it will seamlessl start looping$

Metronome mode,nable the metronome b clicking the metronome icon in the center of

the bottom bar$ 6et the (PM b clicking on the (PM displa on the right of the bottom

bar$ Click the record icon on the 8rst loop$ A four"beat countdown will occur before the

recording starts$

Click the red stop icon to close the loop$ The loop length will be rounded to the nearest

beat for a perfectl snched loop' and it will seamlessl start looping$

loop to start recording on ne9t 8rst beat of loop 3$ The recording automaticall stops at

the end of loop 3 and starts looping with it$

&hen Auto is enabled' the loops record consecutiel without the need to start therecording manuall' e9cept for loop 3$

Hnce recorded' the loop becomes green$ Click it to mute / unmute the loop$ The pla icon

in the bottom bar lets ou P.AD or 6THP all the loops at the same time$ Dou can clear'

and then selecting the desired function$
