No one ever asks us “if “ there is anything new at Clover. They only ask us “What’s new at Clover?” That’s because Clover has become synon-ymous with innovation and creativity and it’s just a foregone conclusion that there will really be something new. And it’s true, there always is.
That’s because Clover is continu-osly developing the next new sewing, knitting or crafting tool; Something special that will help everyone achieve their creative inspirations. But it’s not always a mechanical tool.
Sometimes the tool is in the form of illumination through education. Tool School, for example, is well into its second year. Every two weeks thou-sands of students receive updates on the latest sewing and knitting notions along with suggested applications to the creative process.
But guess what? Yep, there’s something new in education. With the beginning of the new year, Clover will be introducing the Clover Professional Series.
The Clover Professional Series is similar to Tool School but focuses on business topics and is intended for our independent dealers. Owning a sewing or knitting dealership is all-consuming. It’s harder than most imagine. Manag-ing the daily routine, employee issues, inventory, class schedule, teachers, classes, bills, quarterly taxes, cleaning bathrooms, shop hops, yarn crawls, holiday specials, conventions, trade-shows, etc., can occupy every waking moment.
So when is there ever time to be aware of how business is changing or consider new innovations or wonder how the 80/20 rule applies to custom-er development or just take stock of where you stand?
It’s tough, but there is help. The Clo-ver Professional Series is a program designed to provide an open forum for the exchange of innovative ideas with independent dealers.
On a quarterly basis Clover will present a relevant business topic for consideration. There is no master plan that fits all dealerships. The goal of the program is to provide a basis for thought for each dealer to consider in the context of their dealership.
If they can isolate one gem of an idea to make them more productive then all we can say is, “mission ac-complished.” We’re very excited about this program and enthusiastically inviting you to be part of it.
Have you signed up yet? If you haven’t here’s how!

Art. No 3178 Package incudes loom, hook, darning needle, straw, ba-sic instructions and project instructions
So…You’ve always wanted to make socks, but found double pointed needles too hard to hold. This is the answer for you!
We’re not using sock weight yarn here so you can finish quickly. Medium to bulky weight (#4 to #5) yarn works very well and can be found var-iegated, hand-dyed, or you can change colors to create your own designs.
This is a great “house” or “boot” sock. Socks are not the only item you can knit on this loom…fingerless gloves, scarves, simple drawstring bags are also possible with this tool.
The sweet idea behind this loom is that no knit-ting experience is needed and all ages can easily
pick up the process. Both sock and fingerless glove instructions are
included with the loom so you can get right to work. Also when I work on the loom I find myself picking it up but when the loom is at rest it has legs that fold out to stand.
Other accessories include the pick, darning needle and a straw that can be handy when using two strands of yarn.
The Standing Oval Knitting Loom provides a fabulous “entry level” experience for anyone who has a passion for yarn and making knitted items.
