Queen Elizabeth School Welcomes Atlantic Ballet Company 400 students at Queen Elizabeth School were treated to a dazzling performance from the Atlantic Ballet Company on Thursday morning. The company performed a portion of their ballet, Alien, which is based on the experience of immigrants. Students were captivated by the performance and we are thrilled that the company visited QES and gave our students the opportunity of this experience. Queen Elizabeth School WelcomesAtlantic Ballet Company

On Thursday, RMS welcomed Becca Schofield's parents into their building to chat with students about Becca'slife and legacy of kindness. They shared Becca's experience as a former student at RMS and encouragedstudents to be kind, think positively and reminded students and staff that we all have the ability to be a positiveinfluence on our community.

On Thursday , November 28th, the FLB's Winter Wonderland Concert with our K-5 students will take place atthe Capitol Theatre at 6:30 p.m.

On Thursday, November 28th, a group of grade 6, 7 and 8 students will be going to the Boys & Girls Club ofMoncton with Mme Allain, our Community Schools Coordinator, as well as Partners for Youth’s ProjectCoordinators. The grade 7 & 8 students will continue learning about communication, team building andcommunication through Partners for Youth’s Adventure Classroom program. The grade 6 students will learnabout fair play, peaceful conflict resolution, health, competition, and respect through Partners for Youth’sSport3 program that aims to build positive relationships and connectedness between youth increasing socialwellbeing and positive emotions. Sport3 also aims to tackle and teach key issues youth face to help mold theminto young leaders. Thanks to Mrs. Jewett for your help in making this day possible.

Fill the Bus News!

ASD-E is kicking off the 20th year of the Annual Fill The Bus Food Drive in support of Food Depot Alimentaire(FDA). Students and staff from participating schools are collecting non-perishable food items to donate toFDA until December 17th. On December 17th, busses will depart the District Office and pick up the donationsfrom the schools. Over the past 19 years of Fill the Bus, our schools have raised in excess of 530,000 poundsof food for shelters and food banks within our district, the equivalent of over $1.5 Million towards alleviatinghunger in our communities!

Wabanaki Education News!

The First Nation Education Coalition (Champions and Administrators) will be gathering on December 10th tolearn from Knowledge Keepers, Culture Keepers and Elders in the spirit of Reconciliation by learningWabanaki ways of Doing, Knowing and Being. By looking at how this can be incorporated into classrooms andschools, Anglophone East is addressing Objective 6 of the 10 Year Education Plan and the Truth andReconciliations’ Calls to Action.
