November Research Group Launches E2B Viewer V2 with Support for E2B R3 Forward Compatibility November Research Group announced the immediate release of version 2 of their free E2B Viewer that introduces support for E2B R2 to E2B R3 forward compatibility. Now, in addition to being able to view an E2B R2 file in an accessible, easy-to-read format, you will be able to convert that file into the emerging E2B R3 format. The free E2B Viewer is used by life sciences organizations to render individual case safety reports (ICSRs) included in E2B files into human readable format. The E2B Viewer is a cloud-based utility available for use free of charge at http://www.e2bviewer.com. “We have always been proud to provide the E2B Viewer completely free to the global life science community, and we are excited to expand the functionality of the tool to include the generation of E2B R3 files from E2B R2 files,” Seth Warhaftig, President of November Research Group, said of the launch. “Additional functionality around E2B R3, including an E2B R3 viewer and E2B R3 generation from PRIMO, Oracle AERS and Oracle Argus, is currently in development. Some of these tools will be included on the free E2B Viewer and some will be available as licensed software.” The ability to generate E2B R3 files from E2B R2 files using the free E2B Viewer will allow organizations to start preparing for the upcoming regulatory mandate for the use of E2B R3 in the 2015 timeframe. The requirement for the use of E2B R3 will have a significant impact on the systems and processes, which asks organizations to manage and report adverse event data to partners and regulatory authorities.
