DOWNTOWN ORLANDO

Central Business District: Otherwise known as Orlando’s Financial District, this area is also home to many nightclubs

Uptown: Located around Lake Ivanhoe, Uptown is less dense than the CBD, and offers more in terms of space and living.

Lake Eola Heights: Surrounding the beautiful Lake Eola, Orlando’s historic district features brick streets and is often the venue for local events.

Thornton Park: Fashion boutique shops and select restaurants are found on the brick-paved streets of this trendy neighborhood.

Parramore: Located to the west of the CBD, Parramore features a blend of neighborhoods and businesses.

Venues such as the Amway Center (home of the Orlando Magic) and the newly constructed Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts attract big-name acts from the entertainment industry.

GETTING AROUND

One of the great things about living in Central Florida, particularly Downtown Orlando and

Winter Park, is the connectivity of the different communities. 

Most people assume the area is very car-centric. And while driving is the main mode of transportation, Downtown Orlando and Winter Park communities are providing residents with alternative transportation options.

SunRail:

The SunRail is a great option for those wanting to avoid the traffic of I-4 or even a summer afternoon thunderstorm. Passengers can stay connected at all times with free Wi-Fi and power outlets on board and trains also have bike racks for those who continue their journey by bike.

SunCycles: The Orlando Bike Share (scheduled to open this winter) will bring affordable bike rentals to the Orlando area. Riders will be able to reserve a bike via computer, phone, or in person.

Rideshares: With rideshare companies like Uber and Lyft becoming increasing popular around the country, Orlando is looking to join the movement. While area leaders are still working out regulatory details, keep an eye out for these alternative transportation.

While we love our Central Florida visitors and the

tourism industry that greatly benefits our economy,
