▸ I personally aim to have 500-800 words for an average article. Some argue that throwing a 1500 word article in there helps you stand out to search engines. This is a debatable point, though.
▸ Wordpress is your friend.
▸ Optimize your blog articles for SEO keywords. Search engines see your blog article as another “page” of your website. (Yoast Plugin is great!)
▸ Use bullet points, numbered lists, and simple language.
▸ Always use at least one image & brand it if possible!
