I decided to attend Gene Juarez Academy and make beauty my business because I believe cosmetology is one of the best art forms. It was fitting for me to choose Gene Juarez Academy because it is one of the best schools for cosmetology. After graduation, I plan to use the skills that I learned at GJA in a salon as a colorist. I want to make all of my clients’ inner beauty shine through with the help of the services that I provide. Carly Ogle, Cosmetology Program

I decided to attend Gene Juarez Academy and make beauty my business because I take pride in making women feel beautiful and I knew GJA was the best place to learn how to fully accomplish that. After graduation, I plan to work in 2 or 3 salons and spas to get to know and understand the business. Within the next 10 years I want own my own salon and spa. Jami “JJ” Langston, Manicuring Program

I decided to attend Gene Juarez Academy and make beauty my business because I had a cousin who went here and I had heard a lot of good things about this school. Plus I was moving to Federal Way at the time, so it made everything easier. After graduation, I plan on working for GJA and I am interested in coming out with my own natural hair care line. Also, I want to travel, learn more about makeup, and do hair shows. Jontae “Afrykah” Black, Cosmetology Program

I decided to attend Gene Juarez Academy and make beauty my business because I want to enhance my knowledge in the world of fashion. I have a degree in fashion design and marketing and have worked in the fashion apparel industry for 8 years. Now is the time to grow more and educate myself in the beauty industry. After graduation, I plan to work with my nephew in creating a whole new salon experience. All things from head-to-toe.Daniel “Danshin” Shin, Cosmetology Program

I decided to attend Gene Juarez Academy and make beauty my business because I know people who went through the GJA program and now are very successful. I love doing hair, but mostly I love people and hearing their stories. After graduation, I plan to do hair at a salon and then move out of state. I will get my license in that state and do hair there. Keely “Olive” Connolly, Cosmetology Program

I decided to attend Gene Juarez Academy and make beauty my business because I have always had a passion for hair, makeup, and for making people happy. I chose Gene Juarez because of my own personal experience as a guest here. I loved it and I wanted to make people feel the way they made me feel. After graduation, I plan to work in a salon and to eventually open my own business at home. Maria “Catrina” Ibarra, Cosmetology Program
