THE BIBLE

•We believe that the Bible is the verbal and plenary inspired Word of God we use only the King James Bible. •(II Timothy 3:16; I Peter 1:23)

Page 4: WHAT WE BELIEVE / FUNDAMENTALS OF FAITH

The doctrine of the authority of the Bible is often described with the phrase, "Verbal Plenary Inspiration." What does this phrase mean?

Verbal Means Every WordVerbal means that every word of Scripture is God-given. The idea is that every single word in the Bible is there because God wanted it there.

Plenary Means Fully AuthoritativePlenary means that all parts of the Bible are equally authoritative. This includes such things as the genealogies of the Old Testament. All parts of the Bible are of divine origin. Jesus said.

Philippians 2:5-115 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

THE HOLY SPIRIT

Page 16: WHAT WE BELIEVE / FUNDAMENTALS OF FAITH

THE HOLY SPIRIT

• We believe in the person of the Holy Spirit. We believe that He indwells the believers and empowers them for the service.

• (John 16:7-13; Acts 5:3, 4)

John 16:13-17 KJV7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;

10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;

11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

13Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

Acts 5: 3-4 KJV

3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.

MAN

Page 20: WHAT WE BELIEVE / FUNDAMENTALS OF FAITH

MAN

• We believe that the man was created by God in His image and by his own personal choice fell into sin and is under condemnation.

• (Genesis 1:26, 27; Romans 3:10-23)

Page 21: WHAT WE BELIEVE / FUNDAMENTALS OF FAITH

God’s Creation-Evolution is Rejected and any other theories

Fallen (Sinner)-Man is lacking, wanting, needing. Man is corrupt, unrighteous and blinded by Satan

Under Condemnation-Man’s certain destination is Hell

Genesis 1: 26-27 KJV26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Page 23: WHAT WE BELIEVE / FUNDAMENTALS OF FAITH

Roman 3:10-16 KJV10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

13 Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:

14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:

15 Their feet are swift to shed blood:

16 Destruction and misery are in their ways:

Page 24: WHAT WE BELIEVE / FUNDAMENTALS OF FAITH

Roman 10: 17-23 KJV17 And the way of peace have they not known:

18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.

19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

SALVATION

Page 26: WHAT WE BELIEVE / FUNDAMENTALS OF FAITH

SALVATION

• We believe that salvation is wholly by grace and that the Lord Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation.

• (John 3:16; Acts 16:30, 31)

Page 27: WHAT WE BELIEVE / FUNDAMENTALS OF FAITH

John 3: 16 KJV

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Page 28: WHAT WE BELIEVE / FUNDAMENTALS OF FAITH

Acts 16: 30-31 KJV

30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

THE SECURITY OF BELIEVERS

Page 30: WHAT WE BELIEVE / FUNDAMENTALS OF FAITH

THE SECURITY OF BELIEVERS

• We believe that those who received the Lord Jesus Christ as personal Savior are eternally saved and the security of the believers rests upon the finished work of Christ on the Cross of Calvary.

• (I John 5:11-13; John 10:28)

Page 31: WHAT WE BELIEVE / FUNDAMENTALS OF FAITH

1 John 5:11-13 KJV

11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

Page 32: WHAT WE BELIEVE / FUNDAMENTALS OF FAITH

John 10: 27-29 KJV

27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

HEAVEN AND HELL

Page 34: WHAT WE BELIEVE / FUNDAMENTALS OF FAITH

HEAVEN AND HELL

• We believe in the eternal blessedness of the saved in Heaven and the eternal punishment of the lost in Hell of eternal fire.

• (Revelation 21:4; Luke 16: 19-31)

Page 35: WHAT WE BELIEVE / FUNDAMENTALS OF FAITH

Revelation 21:4 KJV

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”

Page 36: WHAT WE BELIEVE / FUNDAMENTALS OF FAITH

Revelation 21:4 KJV

19 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:

20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,

21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.

22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

Page 37: WHAT WE BELIEVE / FUNDAMENTALS OF FAITH

Revelation 21:4 KJV

25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:

28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.

29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.

30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.

31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

THE CHURCH

Page 39: WHAT WE BELIEVE / FUNDAMENTALS OF FAITH

THE CHURCH• We believe that the New Testament

Church is a congregation of baptized believers by immersion, practicing New Testament principles, holding forth its doctrines, observing its ordinances, exercising its autonomy and proclaiming Christ’s Gospel.

• (Matthew 16:16-18)

Page 40: WHAT WE BELIEVE / FUNDAMENTALS OF FAITH

Matthew 16: 16-18 KJV

16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

SEPARATION

Page 42: WHAT WE BELIEVE / FUNDAMENTALS OF FAITH

SEPARATION• We believe in personal separation

and ecclesiastical separation. We take a stand against any trends in doctrine and practice which leads to discrediting the Bible and undermining the Fundamentals of Faith.

TONGUES AND

MOVEMENT

Page 44: WHAT WE BELIEVE / FUNDAMENTALS OF FAITH

TONGUES MOVEMENT

•We believe that the gift of tongues was given as a sign to Israel and like the gifts to the apostles and prophecy, which were for the founding of the Church, are therefore not being given today.

Page 45: WHAT WE BELIEVE / FUNDAMENTALS OF FAITH

NEO-ORTHODOXY

Page 46: WHAT WE BELIEVE / FUNDAMENTALS OF FAITH

NEO-ORTHODOXY •This theological persuasion is a futile attempt to reconcile the higher scientific criticism with the true Biblical interpretation. Such an appeal to Biblical revelation is based in half-truths and as such is false and deceptive. We utterly reject this method and position.

Page 47: WHAT WE BELIEVE / FUNDAMENTALS OF FAITH

NEO- EVANGECALIS

M

Page 48: WHAT WE BELIEVE / FUNDAMENTALS OF FAITH

NEO-EVANGELICALISM • This movement, while claiming to be fundamental

in theology has actually compromised the underlying principles of the Christian Faith. It questions inspiration, literal interpretation, accepts liberals as Christians, takes a new attitude toward the ecumenical movement, promotes ecumenical evangelism, denies both ethical and ecclesiastical separation, restructures eschatology and over stress the social aspects of the Gospel. We hold this stand to be un-Scriptural.

Page 49: WHAT WE BELIEVE / FUNDAMENTALS OF FAITH

ECUMENICAL MOVEMENT

Page 50: WHAT WE BELIEVE / FUNDAMENTALS OF FAITH

ECUMENICAL MOVEMENT

•This movement which attempts to unite the different faiths today on the basis of the least common denominator of doctrine is a betrayal of the unity of believers based upon sound doctrine of the historic Christian Faith. Its dialogue with other religions is dialectical. Its method of operation is subversive and shows a tendency to totalitarianism. Its concepts of an ecclesiastical kingdom is not supported by Scripture. We reject all cooperation with this movement.
