1. GOLCONDA FORT

An ingenious example of acoustical engineering can be experienced at the iron spiked Fateh Darwaza, one of the fort entrances, spiked so as to prevent elephants from breaking open the gates. A hard clap made under the dome can be heard as far as the highest pavilion (Balsa Hill) almost a kilometer away. This arrangement worked as a warning to alert the forces in the fort in case of an incoming attack.

2. CHOWMAHALLA PALACE

Chowmahalla (4 Palaces), is a palace of the Nizams of Hyderabad state. It was the seat of the Asaf Jahi dynasty and was the official residence of the Nizams of Hyderabad while they ruled their state. The palace remains the property of Barkat Ali Khan Mukarram Jah, heir of the Nizams

Temple timings: Morning - 6 AM to Evening 6 PMDuring a visit the devotee goes through the usual rituals of prayer, including 11 circumambulations of the inner shrine, and makes a vow. Once the wish is fulfilled devotees then walk 108 times around the sanctum sanctorum.

Temple Timings: 5 am to 8 pm every day and darshan of the deity is stopped for few minutes in the morning (8’o clock), afternoon and evening (7’o clock)
