    The Sr. System Design and Release Engineer will play an integral role on a greatteam that seeks to commercialize the liquid metal battery technology, which will enable an efficient, stable, and secure electricity grid, paving the way for high penetration of renewable energy resources.

    Requirements

    BS Degree (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering) + 7 years or MS degree (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering) + 3 year industry experience

    High level understanding of mechanical, thermal, and electrical issues and an ability to use knowledge of these combined fields to create a low-cost design Experience designing components to perform multiple functions, simplifying the design, and enabling cost reduction Demonstrated success in transitioning products from concept to release for manufacturing Strong background in design optimization and demonstrated out of the boxthinking capabilities Strong hands-on skills, ability to assemble early prototypes and subject prototypes to validation/verification routines Prior experience designing high voltage industrial equipment for utility/energy storage with integrated electrical subsystems highly preferred Experience working with high temperature electrical or chemical systems is p

    Manufacturing Process EngineerResponsibilities include:

    Designing, developing and implementing overall and unit manufacturing processes Ensuring equipment and processes are able to meet demand, quality, and costtargets

    Interfacing with vendors and contractors to design, install, integrate, andvalidate new manufacturing equipment

    Incorporating risk management and safety features into process designs and methods Conducting cost analysis and process optimization studies Devising and leading lab-scale experiments to validate critical processing methods Authoring and controlling PFMEAs, specifications, work instructions, statements of work, training documents, etc. Hands-on ownership of manufacturing equipment to insure proper operation, maintenance and use Leading /conducting continuous improvement of manufacturing process in the relentless pursuit of safety, product quality, and manufacturing efficiency Process troubleshooting using 8D methodology

    Requirements

    B.S. or Masters degrees in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering from a top-tier university

    5 years working experience in electrical or chemical product manufacturing processes Prior experience in statistical process control Experience with APQP

    Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Design for Manufacturability preferred Strong work ethic and positive working attitude Strong organizational, verbal, and communication skills Capability of motivation and leadership for problem solving and process improvement

    Experience with industrial manufacturing equipment in a high-volume production environment
