9 Tesla magnet for XMCD measurements
Ultra-high vacuum system used for sample growth
Experimental setup at the ID32 beamline.
In situ growth and characterization at the ESRF ID32 beamline.
A magnetic state had been written to the Ho atoms with the 9 Tesla magnet, and was then read out using XMCD.
After 30 min 32% of the atoms still retained their magnetic state, after 1 hour still more than 10%.
