What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

For my research I looked at the BBC as a distribution company as they distribute and produce the ‘top of the pops’ magazine. Top of the pops is the biggest selling teen lifestyle magazine in the market. It originated from the TV show however when the show went off air BBC continued to produce the magazine, focusing not only on the music and interviews but the star charts, gossip and fashion. I believe that The BBC would be the best company to distribute my magazine as they both produce and distribute Top of the pops therefore showing how they have the facilities to advertise my magazine, I believe my magazine is a lot like top of the pops in the way that it features both gossip and music facts. The top of the pops magazine would already have a large fan base meaning that my magazine may be quiet popular with this target audience. Another distribution company i looked at was EGMONT as they also distribute music magazines. EGMONT distributed 'WE LOVE POP' and many other kids magazines, I believe they would be a good company to go with as they have experience with a range of genres of a kids magazine making it more reliable to distribute my magazine.
