With in class we looked at 4 different film distribution companies which were:

• Vertigo films

• Momentum pictures

• British Film institute player

• Fox searchlight pictures

• The distribution company that I liked the best for my film was fox searchlight pictures.

FACTS ABOUT THE DISTRIBUTION COMPANY

• The company is an American film distribution company which was established in 1994.

• They specialise in the film genres of horror and drama.

• They distributed Slumdog millionaire and 12 years a slave which are quite basic films that are mainly based on good story lines and low budget films.

• Having a low budget can make them more money. For example Slumdog millionaire had a budget of $10 million and they made 37 times more thsan their budget.

WHY I USE IT?

• As they focus on horror/ drama films I shall use this distribution company for my film as Fox searchlight pictures will have the facilities and the audience a success.
