What is WDA Funding?

WDA Funding is available for qualifying companies/individuals to attain Industry

Certification. These accredited training programs provide you with sophisticated skills, &

provides the candidates with the opportunity to bring their Excel skills, PowerPoint, Access,

Project or Adobe PhotoShop skills to an Expert Level quickly.

Completion of the training will enable candidates to master the chosen applications, enabling

them to produce more sophisticated results, and to perform complex operations with ease,

thus saving time and improving productivity in the completion of tasks.

ELIGIBILITY FOR WSQ FUNDING from WDA

Singaporean & PR individuals can qualify for WSQ Funding for WDA approved

Courses at Intellisoft, of up to 95% of course fees. WDA Terms & Conditions apply.

Companies who sponsor Singaporean or Singapore PR employees for training can

qualify for Training Grants too, subject to WDA Training Grant approval.

SME Companies (with less than 200 employees) can get up to 95% training grant.

Non SME companies can get up to 90% training Grant.

TRAINING GRANTS & ABSENTEE PAYROLL

In addition, if the training participant is a Singaporean, with a Monthly Salary below

S$1900 and of Age 35 years and above, they can also get Workforce Training Support

(WTS) of up to 95% of Total Course Fees.

Further, Companies who send their employees for training during office hours can also claim

the Absentee Payroll. WDA stands for Workforce Development Agency.

Who is Eligibe for WDA Funding?

WDA Funding is only applicable to Singaporeans and Permanent Residents of Singapore.

Foreigners working in Singapore on Employment Pass, Work Permit, or Social Visit Pass or

any other pass are not eligible for WDA funding for training.

Individuals, who are Singaporeans or PRs, can also apply for WDA funding by

registering through the CDC (Community Development Councils).

How to apply WDA grant in SkillsConnect?

Registration with SkillsConnect website:

Follow the instructions given below. This will help you to apply for a Company Account at

SkillsConnect.

Open the web page -- www.skillsconnect.gov.sg

SkillsConnect is the government website helps to enroll for the certified courses with the course fee grant.

For company to apply for an account under SkillsConnect. With this account, company will be able to apply for training grants and submit claims* for approved

training grants when they send their employees to attend courses approved by WDA

for funding.

Apply for Company Account via e- Service from IRAS if you do not have an existing account.

For the applicant acting on behalf of the applying organization to possess a Sing Pass ID or FIN number to access the SkillsConnect system.

In addition, the applicant must be authorized by the applying organization to transact on behalf of the organization. To do so, organization must authorize

applicant to act for the organization matters by registering him with IRAS e-Services

Authorization System (EASY).
