What does the marital union of a man and woman say to us about God and His plan for our lives and creation? Why did God create us male and female? Never has there been an age where issues of the human person have been so visibly at the forefront of society, politics and even religion. Issues such as marriage, abortion, contraception, and celibacy have created much controversy and confusion, and seem to have no clear-cut answers. Pope John Paul II taught extensively on these issues. In his teachings, now known as The Theology of the Body, JPII explains God’s divine plan for humanity, and the hope and comfort that these truths can provide us. They are being discovered by people young and old alike, and are being hailed as inspiring, compassionate, and surprising. Join us for Created and Redeemed- eight thought provoking presentations by Christopher West that will enrich your understanding of human sexuality and the spiritual power it contains. Christopher West teaches the theology of the body and sexual ethics at St. John Vianney Theological Seminary in Denver. He is also a visiting faculty member of the John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family in Melbourne, Australia. His extensive lecturing, numerous tapes, and his best-selling book Good News About Sex & Marriage have sparked an international groundswell of interest in John Paul II’s theology of the body.
