Today, Montserratians are rebuilding their country with help of £50 million from the British Government.

Montserrat Redevelopment Action Plan

On the flip chart paper, create a poster to show your ideas/recommendations on how Montserrat should be developed and re-built.

Which areas of the island should be cleaned up first and why?

Think about:

•What are the short term priorities?

•What are the long term needs?

•What are the:

Social problems

Economic problems

Environmental issues

You need to be able to justify your decisions and persuade the rest of the class that your ideas should be implemented – use evidence from the last 2 lessons and the information pack to come up with creative ideas!
