What is really so special about sense? What sets this line of personal care productsapart from the other products that promise superior performance and results? I thinkthat I am uniquelyqualified to answer these questions. My name is John Garruto, and Ihave nearly30years of experienceas a chemist and technical consultant to the beautyindustry. I have formulated more than 1,000 nationally and internationally marketedpersonal care products. I am past chairman of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists inCalifornia and am a frequent lecturer and instructor of cosmetic science courses for theUCLA extension program. I also hold a number of patents. I have no idea how toproperly fix a leaky kitchen faucet, but I do know a great deal about the cosmeticscienceof beauty.So what really sets sense apart? According to experts in the field of genetics and biology, aging and itsmanifestations,such as weakened bones, chronic cisease, and even wrinkled skin, arethe result of cellular damage that accumulates throughout a lifetime, causing cells tolose their ability to duplicate properly. This cellular damage arises from a number ofsources such as radiation from the sun, pollution, and other external factors. Theseconditionsallow for the creationof free radicals. When stable oxygen loses an electron,it becomes a free radical. In addition to the environmental factors I discussed, freeradicals are formed in the normal course of our metabolism. When this process runsout of control,damage to our cells, disease, and premature aging will occur.This cellular damage is seemingly inconsequential when we are young because ourcells are able to repair much of it. As we age, though, our ability to repair this damagediminishes. Continued exposure to these forces without intervention can have seriousconsequences.What you will learn about today is how to utilize nutrition as an inner and outer regimento produce a more healthy, vibrant and beautiful appearance - one that you will seeeach and every time you look in the mirror.

Let s review the results ofSense s eight-week clinical study for efficacy.Test panels were comprised of males and females of varying ethnicities and rangingform the ages of 18 - 75 years. All products were tested for irritation and allergypotential using a Repeat Insult Patch Test. In this test, a dermatologist supervised themultiple ~plications of each sense product to the test panel participants. Followingeach application, the skin sites were evaluated for any potential signs of irritation.Following this procedure, the process was repeated to evaluate for any sensitization orallergy response. The conclusion showed no evidence of irritation or sensitization forthe sense line of products. Furthermore,the sense Eye Nourisher was evaluated forirritation potential in the eye area over an eight-week period. There were no signs ofeye irritation with this product.Efficacy studies were performed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the sense line fortreatment of dryness, fine lines and wrinkles, elasticity, clarity, and texture. Objectivemeasurements were recorded using photographs, a Nova Meter for quantifying skinmoisture content, image analysis and D-Squameanalysis for evaluating cell turnover.Additionally, a study was performed to evaluate the effectiveness of the all-importantSun Protection Factor in the Daytime Protective Emulsion with SPF 15.
