ENVIRONMENTWith a view to keep the city green and clean and hence maintain the ecological balance, a project
to develop parks in 165 acres of land comprising of 95 acres of green belt and 150 kms of roadside has been initiated. Two sewage treatment plants are also being planned. These plants, once
operational, will produce 70mn litres of water per day which will irrigate the green belt areas and
parks. Underground water supply facilities are being created to provide water at lower rates forirrigation purposes. To maintain the ecological balance, the NOIDA Authority aims to involve
NGOs and Government organizations in the development and the maintenance of green belts and
parks. Besides raising public awareness towards environmental issues, this approach will give a
