What is ImmuNet? ImmuNet is Maryland’s Immunization Information System (IIS), a confidential and secure vaccination database that is HIPAA-compliant. ImmuNet stores an individual’s vaccination history and is a web-based tool for health care practitioners, pharmacists and schools to help keep patients and students vaccinated on-time and avoid under- or over-vaccination. ImmuNet information is available only to authorized users. ImmuNet has benefits for health care

practitioners and patients alike, including:• Quick access to patients' consolidated

vaccination history• Vaccination services improvement, with

reduced office wait time• Prevention of missed or duplicate

vaccinations, or vaccinations given out of series

• Reminder/recall feature to inform patients/parents of vaccination due dates

• Ready-to-print offical vaccination records for patients

• Ability to determine office vaccination rates for children and adolescents

• Report to ImmuNet automatically through EHR/EMR, saving staff time to report vaccinations*

*As of October 2019, all vaccinations

administered in Maryland are required to

be reported to ImmuNet.

Register with MyIR at md.myir.net to get

your or your child's official ImmuNet records

for school, camp, travel, employment or

going to a new health care practitioner.

'For Public') to:

• Opt out of ImmuNet by filling in an online

opt-out form

• Request corrections to your ImmuNet

information with your healthcare providers

or fill in an online record request form
