WHaT IS HYPERLOOP ?Hyperloop is the 5th mode of transportation, a high-speed train that travels in a near-vacuumtube. The reduced air resistance allows the capsule inside the tube to reach speeds of morethan 1000 km/h. Elon Musk, founder of SpaceX, proposed the idea of Hyperloop to the worldin 2013 through whitepaper - Hyperloop Alpha.

SpaceX organizes the Hyperloop Pod Competition inorder to accelerate the development of functionalprototypes and encourage student innovation.Few selected teams build a subscale prototypetransport vehicle to demonstrate technical feasibilityof the various aspects of the Hyperloop concept.In this global competition, the final round (testing andevaluation of the actual prototype), takes place at theSpaceX Headquarters in Hawthorne, California, USA.The Fastest Pod wins the Competition!

IIT Madras, doing indigenous design anddevelopment for building the First ever SelfPropelled, Completely AutonomousHyperloop Pod of India and alsospearheading country's attempt at SpaceXHyperloop Pod competition 2019 with agoal to develop the fastest hyperloop podever built and win the competition.
