What is Forte? • Forte is one of four major Swedish government research
funding agencies and was founded in 2001
• Forte is a government agency under the Swedish ministries: Health and Social Affairs and Education and Research
• Forte is led by a board with full responsibility • Forte funds research to support people’s health, working
lives and welfare • Forte’s operations build on our vision of a more equal,
