Definition: Disease has physical and/or mental symptoms. It is the disorder or malfunction of the mind or body which leads to a departure from good health. It has mental, physical & social aspects
Caused by:
• Pathogens: virus/bacteria/fungi
• Genetics: inherited
• Lifestyle: risk factors eg diet, exercise, environment
• Examples: Pathogens: Cholera, Tuberculosis,
Genetic: Cystic Fibrosis, Huntingtons Disease, Cancer
