This Maxillary first Molar tooth had been restored with a Dental Amalgam restoration 18 years ago. The Amalgam restoration showed Clinical and Radiographic signs of decay. Significant cracks were visible extending over the marginal ridges over the tooth. The tooth was positive to cold testing and no symptoms were present. After discussion the patient agreed to have the tooth crowned with a all ceramic lithium Di silicate ( E-max) crown to achieve cuspal bracing.
