Understanding your Conditional Firm (CF) offerIf you have accepted a conditional offer from Edge Hill as your Firmchoice you will need to wait until your results are published for your placeat the University to be confirmed.

For many of you, this will mean waiting until A level results day onThursday 15 August 2013. However, if you are taking a BTEC, ScottishHighers, International Baccalaureate or an Access to HE Diploma, yourresults may be published slightly earlier.

If you receive results that satisfy the conditions of your offer your placeat Edge Hill will be confirmed. You will be able to login to UCAS Track tomake sure that your place has been confirmed. The status you are lookingfor is UF (Unconditional Firm), indicating that you have now met allacademic conditions of your offer.

However, you should be aware that even if you have met the academiccriteria, you may still need to fulfil some other requirements dependingon your chosen course. These may include Disclosure and Barring Service(DBS) checks, medical clearance or providing proof of your qualifications. If these requirements apply to you, our Admissions Team will send youthe relevant information.

In some circumstances, if your results do not quite meet the conditionsof your offer, you may still be offered a place on your chosen degree or wemay be able to consider you for an alternative course. You are advised tocheck the status of your application on UCAS Track as soon as possibleand contact our dedicated Confirmation and Clearing Help Line duringAugust if you have any queries. Go to page 12 for more information.

Please note that the final deadline to satisfy all conditions of your offer is31 August 2013. Some courses may also call for specific requirementsthat will have earlier deadlines. If applicable, you will have been advisedof these by our Admissions Team.

Understanding your Conditional Insurance (CI) offerIf you meet the conditions of the Firm (CF) offer you are holding atanother University, your place at that choice will be automaticallyconfirmed. You should check your status on UCAS Track upon receipt ofyour results.

If you do not meet the conditions of your CF offer, your Firm choice maystill be able to offer you a place on either your chosen or an alternativecourse. Again, you should check your status on UCAS Track, and contactyour Firm choice if you have any queries about your status with them.

If you have not met the conditions of your CF choice, but have met therequirements of your Insurance (CI) offer at Edge Hill, we willautomatically confirm your place. Should your CF choice not be able toconfirm your place, your CI choice with us would then becomeUnconditional Firm (UF). You must remember to contact StudentFinance to inform them of your changed circumstances in order for yourfunding to be released.

Please note that the final deadline to satisfy all conditions of your offer is31 August 2013. Some courses may also call for specific requirementsthat will have earlier deadlines. If applicable, you will have been advisedof these by our Admissions Team.
