What happens during in-office tooth whitening?Advancement in whitening products makesin-office tooth whitening faster and moreeffective than ever. Also called chairsidebleaching, the procedure can be accomplishedin one to three visits that take from 30 minutesto an hour each.

1. We place a protective material (dental dam) that exposes your teeth and shields your gums, tongue and lips.

2. We apply lubricant to any exposed gums for further protection.

3. We apply a tooth whitening agent containing a high concentration of hydrogen peroxide.

4. We may use special light, laser, or other techniques to speed up the whitening process.
