EURIPA is a representative organisation founded by family doctors to address the health needs of rural communities and the professional needs of those serving them. It represents a growing network of rural practitioners and organisations across Europe working together to disseminate good practice and initiate research.

Main activities• Working on the foundations for a strategy document on the
future of rural health in Europe.• Developing the “Euripa´s strategy” based on Research,
Education, Qualtiy and Policy Development.• Promoting and being visible rural health in Europe.• Hippokrates programme collaboration.• Networking. European Rural Institutions and Universities.• Organizing the annual Euripa Rural Health Forum.• Producing the European Rural Newsletter “Grapevine”.• In charge of the European Rural Listserver.• Direct collaboration with the International Electronic Journal of
Rural Health. European section.• Collaboration with Wonca Working Party on Rural Practice and
the Wonca World Rural Health Conference.
What can Euripa offer to youngsters? • Increasing the interest for working and remaining in rural
areas.
• Giving confidence and experience for working in a rural setting.
• Promoting the Rural Doctor´s profile: Complete family physician who maintains the core and paradigm of the speciality. Training model.
• Not forgetting the importance of equity in health services : Equal access – Equal utilization – Equal health outcomes.
