Workflow for an article held electronically by a lending libraryWorkflow for an article held electronically by a lending library
Home library notifies the end user is it available and the end user has xx number of days to download the article
Lending library follow link, prints out and scans the article, uploads the article to Article Exchange and notifies the home library that is available for them
The lending library cannot give the borrowing library access to their licensed journals but they can provide the article
WorldShare ILL integrates with the Knowledge Base to provide the lending library with a URL to the article requested by the borrowing library
Home library uses WorldShare ILL to locate the article from a lending library
End user wants a journal article not held by their “home” library
