ELISA - FOURTH-YEAR I fell in love with Georgia Tech the minute I stepped on campus; the combination of tradition with innovation was evident, and it amazed me. However, it was through an interaction with a group of HRT students that I fell in love with Tech and its students even more. I felt a sense of community, something very uncommon in many top engineering schools, and that’s what attracted me the most to Georgia Tech. I felt a sense of belonging. I realized how imperative touring the campus and/or meeting current students was for my decision, thus, I decided to join the Hispanic Recruitment Team to help other students find their fit at Tech.

MONICA - FOURTH-YEAR Georgia Tech has shown me how much I can accomplish and has challenged me to become a better version of myself. I have learned to not limit myself with expectations, to dream big, and to let my imagination be free. I am grateful to be part of an institution where everyone is motivated and driven to succeed. The culture, the atmosphere, and the people I’ve met have made my experience truly rewarding!

MAURICIO - CLASS OF 2017 Georgia Tech’s community made me fall in love with it. I’ve never seen so many amicable people with such entrepreneurial spirit. Tech has a caring community in which we all help each other succeed. Because of this community, I felt always challenged and yet fully supported to become the best version of myself. I have made friends for life at Tech, and, for that, I will always be grateful. One of the student groups that helped me the most was the Hispanic Recruitment Team. Being able to impact the Hispanic/Latino community in a positive way helped me connect with other students with the same passion and culture(s) as me. The Hispanic Recruitment Team was definitely a familia away from family.

ALEX - CLASS OF 2016 My time at Georgia Tech helped me go well beyond the dreams I had when I got to Atlanta as a freshman. I interned, performed research, and studied abroad in France, all due to the myriad of opportunities available to students. Tech prepared me for the real world and for my job, socially and professionally. Selecting Georgia Tech has been one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life, and graduating has been my biggest accomplishment so far. I can’t wait to see where I’ll be going next!
