and refrain from telling lies. If an actor has a low integrity setting, then he does not truly carewhether his actions are forthright and upstanding.

Lovability -

Lovability gauges how endearing an actor is to others. An actor defined as highly socially

acceptable has a high lovability value. It is important for a builder to be consistent on howlovability is defined throughout a storyworld. Each of us, as creators, are apt to define

lovability according to our own thinking.

Dominance -

Dominance is the degree to which an actor will assert himself. It is different from initiative in

that it implies a level of ego rather than action. A dominant actor will run a corporation, whereas an actor with initiative will step in to prevent a fight.

Competence -

An actor with high competence is able to handle most tasks given her. A low value of competence prevents an actor from accomplishing many goals.

Loquacity -

Loquacity determines an actor's tendency to talk. This is not gregariousness. Loquacity is

used by the storyengine to decide how freely an actor will share information with other actors. It defines an actor's willingness to spill his guts and gossip.

Initiative -

Initiative sets an actor's willingness to take action. Initiative does not play into ego, so anactor can have high initiative with little dominance. Such an actor may choose to step in

when a bully pulls a girl's braids on the playground. This actor may not be otherwisedominant, but will take initiative.

Greed -

Greed values define an actor's need to acquire wealth. Greed is not the same thing asenviousness. An actor can be greedy (eager to acquire wealth) without being envious

(resentful of others' good fortune).

Libido -

Libido values set how much an actor wants sex. Libido does not involve love and affection, that trait is defined above as LoveHungry. Libido is a purely physical desire for physical

contact.

Sexiness -

Sexiness is the physical attraction an actor possesses. A high value of sexiness in an actor

means he is sexually appealing to others. Sexiness has nothing to do with lovability. Carolmay turn heads on every stage, and still have a mean personality.

 Nurturance -

Nurturance determines an actor's desire to care for others. A high value of nurturance impliesa protective parent, inquiring counselor, or solicitous friend. A low value of nurturance does

not imply evil, but rather less willingness to help those in trouble.

Temper -

Temper defines how volatile an actor is. A high value of temper is equal to a short fuse inanger. A twist to an actor could be a high temper combined with low initiative. The actor is

then apt to bear a lot of grudges and perhaps plot many schemes, but seldom carry them out.

Joviality -

Joviality sets an actor's sense of humor. It has nothing to do with whether a person is morallygood or not. It is simply an actors ability to enjoy her life and laugh, to look on the bright

side of situations.
