Please write down the following 4 questions; read the passage that follows and answer
Tradition and change meet and mingle in Cairo. Cairo is a massive city thronged
with people & ringing to the sounds of car horns, stereos, cell phones and muezzins,
summoning the faithful to prayer. Townsfolk dress in long, flowing robes, others in jeans & sneakers & baseball
caps. City traffic & motorcycles compete with donkey carts & wandering goats. All
of Egypt is not chaos & clatter, however. It is also a diver’s dream dip, a quiet camel caravan through the desert, or a long lazy
punt down the Nile where mud-brick villages stand beside the ruins of the
pharaohs.
