Our Lady of Pilar ChurchThis is considered as one of the most

refined baroque architecture. It contains

magnificent cutting covered in gold and

more than 400 cherubims.

More than the structural beauty, each design

bears deep meaning and symbolisms.

windows for me to see the

greater beauty of the glorious

tradition of Ouro Preto…

It allowed me to see the

mystic marvel of its history

and culture…

It made me appreciate more

the profound tradition of the

olden times…

It left me in awe and wonder.

This is one of Brazil’s best architectural designs which was

constructed somewhen in 1766-1772 by Maoel Francisco

Lisboa. This Church is both magical and emblematic.

opportunity to have a glimpse of it…

As darkness envelopes the

skies, the remembrance of Ouro Preto will

remain to sparkle like precious gold...

like the lamps that glitter along the road

going back to Belo Horizonte…

And forever, Ouro Preto will be

cherished as part of our splendid memory.
