Job Purpose:

1. To manage the development of content for the council’s website and intranet in line with Brent’s web strategy and support the council’s ambitions, driven by the Digital Board, to become a “Digital Council”.

Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

The post holder will be responsible for:

1. Updating and maintaining the website to high standards2. Creating and uploading copy and images for the organisation's website/s3. Oversee and administer all web requests received from the organisation’s services. 4. Deliver web projects to a high standard and agreed time and budget. 5. Support and advise the Filming & Advertising Team on online advertising including the

positioning and targeting of adverts and new opportunities6. Liaising with prospective clients and passing leads onto the Filming & Advertising Officers 7. Assisting with paid media including liaising with digital advertising agencies8. Pay Per Click (PPC) campaigns: sponsored online advertising paid for by the organisation 9. The organisation’s newsletter/s and developing strategies for increasing the reach and the

number of subscribers.10. Advising, monitoring, reporting and dispatching email campaigns11. Researching new online media opportunities that may benefit the business including mobile,

social media, development of blogs and forums12. Conducting key word research and web statistics reporting13. Using web analytics software to monitor performance of our online campaigns, websites and

make recommendations for improvement14. Providing accurate reports and analysis to organisation management15. Contribute to social media engagement16. Administering the Social Media and researching new online methods of networking with the

website users17. Keeping up to date with current digital trends18. Accelerating the channel shift by suggesting ways to improve the website and analyse the

user journey to enhance the customer experience.19. Deliver web enhancements and liaise with external agencies to implement. 20. Provide training on digital platforms whenever necessary. 21. Producing videos for the website and for marketing campaigns22. To create online content for film, audio and sound recording to promote services and events

Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience:Specify the qualifications, experience, skills and abilities required.

All criteria are essential

Knowledge and Qualifications:

University degree - Technology Studies, Media & Communications, Advertising, Economics, Creative Design or relevant work experience.

The candidate will be required to demonstrate a genuine interest in web management and digital developments.

Experience:

Proven ability maintaining the website of an organisation or business sourcing and uploading the content using a Content Management System (CMS).

Proven ability to deliver expertly written web content. Project management skills – ability to manage cross-team web projects. Sound knowledge and experience of adobe Photoshop or other image-editing and graphics

software Sound knowledge and experience at an advanced level of specialist information systems at an

advanced level, e.g. email, Word, Excel, web content management systems. Excellent understanding of data protection and security. Newsletter and email distribution experience (Knowledge of Dotmailer Platform is preferable) Experience in online advertising (good to have). Social Media experience and campaign analysis. Familiarity with Google Analytics (Webmaster tools) and other web analytics software. Experience working in a diverse and changing environment Experience optimising the web for mobile devices Experience running online campaigns (PPC, SM, Mobile)
