Smith, Wallis & Scott, LLP started in 1988 with two partners and one staff person. In 2011, after riding out the worst part of the economy, SWS decided that it had to do some things differently in order to stay in front of the competition. After 23 years in business and growing to 5 attorneys and 15 employees, the firm no longer could just depend on word of mouth for new clients and decided to tap into the large Hispanic base in Atlanta. The goal was to offer new services such as immigration and family law while at the same time continuing a strong tradition of representing clients in personal injury and workers compensation.

The objective for SWS was to increase monthly client sign-ups and to bring awareness to the Hispanic community of the products and services that SWS offers. SWS wanted clients to feel as if they not only had legal representation but also were backed by a tradition of zealous advocacy that truly believed in the services being provided. Convincing the community of this is not easy. But we with a strong advertising campaign, SWS could begin to reach some potential clients who had never heard of them before.

SWS used focused on WBZY traffic sponsorships, which offer a “this traffic report is brought to you by” as well as an adjacent customized :15 second message. 2 commercials were rotated evenly, 1 focusing on Workers Comp/ Personal Injury, and the other focused on Immigration. The initial campaign was going to be for only 13 weeks "just to see if it worked". Now one year later SWS is very happy with the results of this campaign and has continued using this approach ever since.

As a result of the campaign, call volume increase by 30-50 new client inquiries per week. This increase led to the hiring of two new employees and renewing the contract for 2012 and beyond.
