Activity Descriptions Tae Kwon Do (limit 20): A non-violent modern martial arts form from Korea, training the mind & body. Uniform included. Tennis (limit 12): For an additional $30/session, children can learn & practice tennis skills w/ Pro, Donna Holmes. All equipment provided. Lego® Mania: Let your imagination run wild while building unique & intricate Lego® creations! Snow Much Fun: As long as there’s snow, we’ll be playing in it…snow forts, snow men, snow much fun! Children must have appropriate snow gear including a coat, snow pants, gloves, hat & boots. News Flash: Help create WPC’s newsletter so you will know what is new & happening here at WPC at Abbot. No-Bake Cooking (limit 10): For an additional $15/session, make yummy snacks & learn about kitchen safety & hygiene. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR CHILDREN WITH FOOD ALLERGIES. Recycle/Reuse: Build & create structures & art w/ recycled materials. Kamate: For an additional $45/session, kick it w/ your friends & a Kamate instructor! This dance & fitness program is a fun fusion of the latest dance styles & music. We will learn new steps, create our own moves & dance as teams! Get funky & move w/ attitude! Running Games: Get your heart rate up during these cold wintery months w/ games such as “Steal the Bacon,” “Pacman,” & more! Simple Sewing: Use simple sewing techniques to create different projects. If time allows, we’ll introduce the sewing machine. Book Club: A combination of grade-level “read alouds” & short story/book compositions. TGIF: A time to unwind! Activities include crafts, sports & games, educational programming, & more!

Late forms incur a $25 late fee. Children who attend program w/out being registered for that session, will pay $15/day in addition to the $25 late fee. A child is registered only after reg. form has been received & processed by the REC office. •Call absences/changes to Recreation office by 12 p.m. There is a $10 Finders’ Fee if we are not notified by noon. Notes to teachers and absentee lists are not relayed to us. •Each child needs to have a Child Information form filled out by parent/guardian and submitted to Site Director prior to start date. •If someone other than those listed as authorized to pick up your child will be picking them up, we must be notified in writing. •You are expected to pick up your child promptly after his/her block ends. You will be charged $1 per minute after 6 p.m., payable directly to the staff member(s) waiting with your child.

WPC POLICIES AT A GLANCE

•Must register for at least 1 block, 1 day/week for the entire session. •No credit is given for sick days or when your child does not attend on his/her scheduled day. •Registration forms must be submitted by 6 p.m., 1 week prior to start date. Computer Lab (limit 10): Play educational games, take virtual field trips & complete internet scavenger hunts from a list of approved, appropriate websites. Creative Corner: Show off your artistic side by creating cool drawings & funky projects. Tae Kwon Do (limit 20): A non-violent modern martial arts form from Korea, training the mind & body. Revenge: Dodgeball turns into every person for themselves! Watch who you get out…for they will want “revenge,” Just Draw: Sit, relax & just draw! Chess: Beginners to advanced, learn the game &/or new strategies to advance in chess. Funology: Fun, hands-on experiments exploring a variety of science topics. Build & Design: Use your imagination to create abstract sculptures using recycled materials. Computer Lab (limit 15): Play educational games, take virtual field trips & complete internet scavenger hunts from a list of approved, appropriate websites. Adventure Walking: Take a stroll on the Robifulli trail to visit the Robinson swings or venture down to WA for a sporting event. Either way it will be an adventure! Funology: Fun, hands-on experiments exploring a variety of science topics. Tae Kwon Do (limit 20): A non-violent modern martial arts form from Korea, training the mind & body. Uniform included. TGIF: A time to unwind! Activities include crafts, sports & games, educational programming, & more!
