Located on the Arcachon basin, the campsite is on the fringes of the market town of Arès with the main facilities of the town easily reachable on foot. DAY 9 A coach excursion from the campsite to an oyster museum where you can learn all about the process of oyster farming with free time for purchasing some to taste. Overnight at campsite near Arès. DAY 10 Today’s coach excursion takes us from the site to the Arcachon bay for a boat trip to see this area of natural beauty including the fishermen’s cabins on stilts and various wildlife. After the boat trip there will be the chance to discover some local cuisine with a three course meal and a drink in a restaurant at Cap Ferret before returning to the campsite. DAY 12 Leave the site and travel east to the final campsite which is located near to Sarlat (152 miles). Start with a guided tour of Château de Castelnaud with its magnificent view of the Dordogne River.
