Greetings, Westchester Lakes residents, and Happy New Year! I hope 2014 has been and will continue to be a safe, happy, blessed, and prosperous for you. I also hope and pray that you and your family weathered the recent winter storms and that all is well with your homes. Hang in there...Spring is on the way! For 2014, your Board of Directors will continue working hard to make our community a better, safer, and more fun place to call home. See some of the activities planned later in the newsletter. Due to a rise in the number of investors buying & attempting to rent properties in the subdivision, despite our lease cap and restriction policy appearing conspicuously on the website, we have also begun more aggressively enforcing our lease restrictions. If you are currently leasing your home, please refer to the Documents tab on website for information on fees, fines & penalties that will apply to you. In addition, to save money, this year the Board has begun publishing the newsletter every other month, rather than monthly. Important updates will still be published as often as necessary via the website. We encourage and welcome more residents to volunteer for the Board and/or committees to share your ideas and expertise, and so the same handful of residents are not doing most or all of the work all of the time. Board meetings are monthly (except July and December) from 7-9pm at the Seventh Day Adventist church next door. Board members also may advertise in the newsletter free. Looking forward to a positive and productive 2014! Westchester Lakes News Conyers, Georgia 30013 www.westchesterlakes.net | [email protected] Did you know? Sinkholes in Westchester Lakes Some residents are reporting seeing sinkholes on their property. This is primarily due to buried stumps, excess building materials, and other debris that builders and contractors were allowed to bury on the property back then. Over time, this material decomposed and is now causing the sinkholes. Stay tuned for the next edition of Westchester Lakes News for more information in case this is happening on your property.
