The Westbrook Centre is an established retail and leisure destination providing over 150,000 sqft of retail/leisure accommodation in a large expanding residential area of north west Warrington. The Centre is anchored by Asda and Odeon with additional retail/leisure accommodation and community facilities, all served by a large surface car park. The Centre currently attracts between 2.6-3 million visitors per year.

The proposed development is adjacent to Costa Coffee and a 10 screen Odeon Cinema that has averaged approximately 400,000 admissions over the last 9 years and is currently the only cinema in Warrington.

Bespoke retail/leisure accommodation totalling over 18,000 sqft is planned, arranged in a terrace, which at this stage can be designed to occupiers’ specific requirements ranging from 1,000 sqft to 4,000 sqft or more.

The existing retail units are also being upgraded with improvements planned for open spaces and the public realm. The car park is to be extensively redesigned to increase circulation and parking numbers whilst integrating the Centre as a whole with increased connectivity between the main operators.

Westbrook is an established Centre in terms of planning policy and a preferred location for retail and leisure development.

Warrington has a resident population of over 200,000* and is extremely well located midway between Manchester and Liverpool.

Westbrook Shopping & Leisure is approximately 2.8 miles north west of Warrington town centre and close to Junction 8 of the M62 motorway, also the main access for Gemini Retail Park which includes retailers such as Marks and Spencer, Ikea, Boots, Next, Toys R Us, Frankie & Benny’s , Starbucks and McDonalds. Junction 8 also serves the Omega development where a further 1,100 new homes have been approved to be built over the next several years.
