,THE WEST'VALLEY LIGHT OPERA ASSOCIATION The object of the Association is to promote cultural activity in the area and to provide opportunities for drama students and others who have dramatic aspirations to take par t in theatrical productions under the guidance of professional directors. West Valley Light Opera is fortunate to have secured the services of Mr. Sherwood Goozee as Director. His picture and past accomplishments appear elsewhere in the program. It was under his skillful direction that our first show of this season, "Oliver", was produced. We sincerely hope that you enjoy our shows. Should you feel inclined to become a member, our representative wiU be happy to explain the advantages of membership. For information write to P. 0 . Box 779, Los Gatos, or phone 356-6410.
THE OVERTURES One unique feature of this Association for players is that we operate the entire year. To accomplish this, a group was formed from among our membership. This group is called T H E OVERTURES. They consist of six males and six female singers, two pianists, a Director-Choreographer and a Lighting Director. The OVERTURES provide a training ground for stage presence and experience to nevvcomers to our group, a pool of talents for our productions, and maintain interest on the par t of our players between shows. They are available at reasonable rates to perform for business, civic and fraternal orgsmizations. For information please write to the Association or telephone 269-3095 or 356-6410.).
