SituationWest Fleet House is situated in open countryside within the Ilchester Estate in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is roughly equidistant from the villages of Abbotsbury, Portesham and Langton Herring. The pretty village of Abbotsbury (2.9 miles) has a shop, café, art gallery and the Ilchester Arms pub. West Fleet HouseBuilt in the latter part of the 19th century of local stone, with mellow brick detailing under a Welsh slate roof, West Fleet House is surrounded by the Abbotsbury Estate and has the most wonderful setting that is beautiful, peaceful and private. A long drive through woodland and fields takes you to the house. The unlisted property is of a classic four square design and has a light and airy feel, with large sash windows and is well presented.

Garden & BarnThe garden, which comprises about 1.5 acres (0.61 hectare), was created by the current owners and provides a delightful setting for the house. It is bounded by mature hedging and consists of a series of lawns fringed with mature borders, with a wide variety of mature specimen trees and a small orchard. The conservatory at the rear of the house opens out onto a paved terrace, which is shaded by a large apple tree and overlooks the lily pond.
