Different Vision
WePhoto Book no.3 - 2015 - Italy - vol 4
Cover by:Antonello Diana ©
Different Vision ItalyWest Europe is here. In this section of our serie, we have a lot of authors, and the majority are from Italy. So, we start just here, and we have a really GREAT numbers of Photographers. This is Volume one of five. The idea for this series was born looking at the myriad of wonderful images in Wephoto Group pages. Authors from all over the world, each with their own culture, traditions, a world view that, although globalization, has different colors regarding different areas So part of this series has the goal to explore every world’s Macro region, and offer a proof, a featuring, trying to figure out if and how traditions and culture can give a “Different Vision”.

This is our third edition from that series. The first, dedicated Asian Authors is available for download via Apple iBooks Store, Amazon Kindle Store and Lulu.com, as separately reported, the second (three volumes) are available for download at the same platforms (see at the end of the book) I would like to thank all the authors for their cooperation, patience and enthusiasm. Almost daily we did talk about the achievement of this book, how to select photos and so on, different countries, different cultures, different languages, and yet we found ourselves in the WePhoto’s chat, talking as old friends in one language, feeling as if we were sitting at a table in a pub to have a drink together. This is the most beautiful side, perhaps, of this work. Demonstrate that we are all the same, it doesn’t matter where we were born, we share the same passions, the same fears, the same hopes.

A special thanks to my friend and admin Dick Visser, Art Director, for the supervision of the graphics, layout and the realization of the book, and with whom we are fighting together to achieve a single version to be offered to various platforms. Thanks to Germana De Chellis and Anastasia Argiolas, who help us to contact and coordinate authors to organize and deliver their files. A difficult work, believe me! I push everyone to watch, read, spread to friends, acquaintances, sharing on Facebook and wherever else this book.

Nicoletta Rech
Brescia, Italy
I’m living in Brescia from 30 years. I’m mother to full time, employed for pleasure and photographer for passion. I started to make picture to 18 years after the graphics course, it was all in analog, also had a little room for developing films. Then came the kids and many other things and with the little time I have left the photograph, in a drawer, waiting for better times. A few years ago I went back to photograph with a small digital and then I bought a camera again, so I was projected into the digital, into a continuous discovery of a world that continues to fascinate me. A photo is necessary evoke emotions, it’s needed tell something to the person who looks at it; a photo is a image that points directly to the heart and mind of the other.Photographing means to observe the world around you and tell the reality around you or your thinking.

I started as a joke every time I saw a picture I felt something undefined and I realized that that world fascinated me so much. There are two subjects that I love photographing landscapes and streets even if they are completely different from each other give me equal emotions, this and ‘my thoughts convey my visual art and perceive it to others as a’ emotion. In this porfolio I present my land the “Molise” region with almost unknown landscapes that represent it.

Paola Parodi
Torino, Italy
Though I have spent my whole life close to enthusiastic amateur photographers, for many years I have only been the bored child who did not want to stay still and smile…or (later) the one patiently waiting for them while they were taking pictures. I was not interested at all…but never say never, as the wise men teach. One day I took a camera and suddenly realized I could look at every day’s things with a different attitude. Plain and simple. I have kept doing this ever since. I am fascinated by open spaces, architecture, details. Less is more is my favourite saying (about photography... and not only).

Milena Masini

Photography as a still picture, a frame that allows me to fix the moment before that gates, to convey that emotion on paper, transforming it into an indelible memory. The shot, for me, is closely related to the journey: is the one that brings me unceasingly across continents to cross new boundaries, both the daily, and the meeting with the other, with the unknown next door: my reflex, therefore, is always with me, part of me, companion of life and faithful friend, memory of my memory. But just like the memories that slowly fade, i choose for my photos the black and white: the contrast and net, the black saturated, strong light; sun and shadows not hiding but they exalt one another. Just as in life.

Gianfranco Pucher
Udine, Italy
Resident in Itlay I live in Udine a little town of Friuli, has started to make photo since child with the camera of my father the Woiglander Vitoret totally manual with 50 fixed lens, and it’s everything working now and I still use it.In 1990 I have used a Nikon f-801 alas sold in 2007 to pass to the digital with a Nikon D200.I like the landscapes, the macros, the portraits the events, but I am open to all the photographic sons-in-law. Not I always get the hoped results, whether to succeed in making a decent photo over obviously to know the basic technique, the place is important, the situation, the event, everything must give me inspiration to translate in image, what observes.

I was born in 1980 discovering the photograph when i was 12 years old through my uncle’s Nikon. I left photography pretty soon, i prefeared to pursue other interest. I began to realize that my passion for photography had not disappeared only 3 years ago, buying an entry level camera , doing a couple of courses. I have read many books, had seen a lot of exposition, and I continue to experiment with my camera trying to find my way. For a year and a half I started to work with theatre’s photo and it was a cool discover, now I continue to experiment with different genres to learn as much i can. Photography, imho, is dwawing with light, it is also able to adapt to the scene in front of you through a lens and your own personal view of life.

A passion for photography started when I was a boy, attracted by the photos in black and white, but mostly from ‘idea of seeing its appear slowly in my hands...like a flower blooming... in fact all’ age of 15 years begin to take pictures and develop them in my first darkroom. today is still my favorite hobby and I have dedicated myself to landscape photos with the ‘use of filters even if the black and white remains my first love. Photography to me is like a dream... I use the technique, which I always try to improve to best convey my emotions to all those who look at my pictures... because a photo must always excite!!!I often use the post-production, but with the concept of what in the past was done in the darkroom... and realize the most of what I saw in that moment... imagined... excited...
