The material for Welsh Slate was created when the movement of Techtronic plates

forced the sea bed to form the mountain ranges of north Wales. Pressure from

over 560 million years has fossilized minerals on the sea bed floor creating this

uniquely colored and uniquely strong material that is older than the dinosaurs.
