indfulness is the ancient practice ofbeing in the moment and noticing withoutjudgment. A practice that seems so simple, yetone that we often neglect in our fast-paced,modern lives. Mindfulness has been used intreating depression, anxiety, emotional stressrelated to terminal illness or work, sleepdisturbance and even nicotine dependence.Mindfulness is also used as a gateway to higherspiritual growth or as a path to more balanced, centered living.
Dr. Marich will guide us through the sevenprimary areas of mindfulness in motion, breath, sound, body, story, mind, spirit and integratedexperience. She will also introduce us to DancingMindfulness which she developed as an art form ofdance as the primary medium of discoveringmindful awareness.
Come prepared to experience the rhythmicqualities of our own breath and heartbeat.
