3 These values are applied for transversal samples withdrawn from the body of the pipe. If longitudinal samples are tested, the elongation valuesmust be increased by 2 units.

4 T = prescribed pipe thickness.

The samevalues as thepipe body areapplied.

Each pipe musttake the testwithout showinglosses or visibledeformations

Vac PacNo rebakingThe specially-designed packaging eliminates moisturepick-up. This results in very long storage time and dry,factory-fresh electrodes direct from the packagewithout rebaking.

Reduced cost-improved controlESAB VacPac reduces costs by eliminating rebakingprocedures. The vacuum indicates no leakage whichguarantees dry electrodes, thereby providing easy con-trol and improved quality assurance. The date and timeof issue can be recorded on the package.

Small handy packagesDepending on dimensions, the electrodes are availablein packages of approximately 1, 2.5 or 4 kg providingquantities suitable for one working shift.

Tin packingHermetically-sealed metal packaging forcellulosic and basic electrodes

ESAB is always close to its clients, committed to theacquisition of important orders also in countries wheretransport and storage of goods are difficult. For thisreason ESAB developed and produced a tin packagefor welding electrodes. These hermetically sealed packages simplify and maketransport and storage more safe, also ensuring the per-fect preservation of cellulosic and basic electrodes, even in high-humidity and high thermal shock condi-tions.

OK Autrod 13.13Process: GMAW

OK Autrod 13.13 is a copper-coated, low-alloy, chromium-nickel-molybdenum(0.5%Cr, 0.5%Ni, 0.2%Mo), solid wire forthe GMAW of high tensile strength steelswith a minimum yield strength (0.2%offset) of less than 610 Mpa and aminimum tensile strength exceeding 710Mpa. Also suitable when welding steelswhere good impact strength at lowertemperatures is required. OK Autrod 13.13is usually welded with Ar/2CO2 as theshielding gas. The mechanical propertiesare given in the all-welded condition. Afterstress relieving, the mechanical propertiesdecrease by 30 Mpa in the case of yieldand tensile strength.Welding current : DC(+)

OK Autrod 12.66Process: GMAW

OK Autrod 12.66 is a copper-coated solidwire with low content of impurity elementsfor downhill circumferential GMAW weldingon pipe qualities as API 5L, grade X52 tograde X70. The electrode permits weldingwith high current (spray-arc) and also withshort circuiting transfer in all positionsShielding gas Ar/CO2, CO2

OK Autrod 12.65Process: GMAW

OK Autrod 12.65 is a copper-free solidwire with low content of impurity elementsfor downhill circumferential GMAW weldingon pipe qualities as API 5L, grade X52 tograde X70. The electrode permits weldingwith high current (spray-arc) and also withshort circuiting transfer in all positions.Shielding gas Ar/CO2, CO2

Coreshield 8Ni1Process: FCAWA self-shielded flux-cored wire designed toproduce welds with outstanding impacttoughness at temperatures as low as–60°C. It is suitable for all positionswelding and is specially suited for makingroot passes or handling poor fit up.Ithould be used for offshore structures, pipelines, bridges, storage tanks and otherapplications where excellent impacttoughness is specified and where eslfshielding is an advantageWelding current: DC-

FILARC PZ6104Process: GMAWMetal-cored wire providing a ductile weldmetal alloyed with 1&Ni for good CVNtoughness down to –50°C. Developed forapplications involving thick plates, highrestraint and/or low-temperature toughnessrequirements, as in offshore. Primary usecomprises multi-layer butt and fillet weldsin the downhill and horiz/vert positions.Root passes without backing are welded inthe short arc mode. Pulsed MIG operationis applied to optimise the filling ofpositional joints, using Ar/8%CO2 shieldinggas. Welding current: DC+

OK Tubrod 15.17Process: FCAWOK Tubrod 15.17 is an all-positional, rutile,flux-cored wire for good toughness downto –40°C. The wire contains 1% nickel andhas exceptional operating characteristicsin all positions with high deposition rates.Shielding gas Ar+20%CO2 or CO2. OKTubrod 15.17 is designed for all positionalwelding of carbon manganese and low-alloy steels, for semiautomatic welding(root pass by stick electrode) for main lineor repairs.Welding current: DC+

OK Tubrod 15.09Process: FCAWOK Tubrod 15.09 is an all-positional, rutile,flux-cored wire for welding high strengthsteels (Weldox 700, HY100), with goodCVN toughness down to –40°C Attentionmust be paid to preheating (recommended80°C to 150°C, depending on platethickness) and interpass temps(recommended 150-200°C).Welding current: DC+
