Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG), also known as Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW),

is an arc welding process that uses on inert gas (either Argon, Helium or gas

mixtures) to protect the weld zone from the atmosphere. The heat required

for effective welding is provided by an electric arc which is struck between a

non-consumable tungsten electrode and the job. The power to the arc is

supplied by an AC, DC or AC/DC power source having constant current

characteristics (drooping characteristics). High frequency voltage is

superimposed on the welding current to provide contact-free arc striking and

arc stability (especially in AC TIG).

CONTROL OUTFITSCONTROL OUTFITSCONTROL OUTFITSCONTROL OUTFITSCONTROL OUTFITS

Ador Weldings standard ADORTIG control outfits are available for AC/DC or

DC applications. These are meant to be connected to any suitable AC or DC

power source (depending on welding application and model selected) with

constant current or drooping outfit characteristics.

Basic Control UnitsBasic Control UnitsBasic Control UnitsBasic Control UnitsBasic Control Units

¥ Light compact and portable for greater flexibility in welding operations. Can

be easily carried close to various welding areas on sites or shopfloors

¥ Torches switch operations through electro-magnetic relay circuitry controls

gas pre-flow (to ensure perfect shielding of weld joint while starting), high

frequency initiation (for easy, contactless, arc start) and gas post-flow (for

complete protection of weld pool and Tungsten electrode till they cool down)

¥ Light torch, four track operation of torch switch minimises operator fatigue

since the torch switch needs to be continuously pressed while welding

¥ Operator safety ensured since control circuitry operates on low voltage (24

volts). Minimal danger of electrical shock

¥ Gas flow control through solenoid valve for economy in consumption of

costly Argon gas. Automatic H.F. cut-off after arc ignition during DC TIG

welding through 4 track operation

¥ In case of water cooled units (300 amps and above), a water pressure

switch protects the expensive TIG torch from damage in case of pump

failure or inadequate water supply

¥ Indicating lamps on front panel for gas and power

With proven back up from its overseas associate CRI CatalystsCompany UK Ltd. (a subsidiary of Royal Dutch/Shell Groupof Companies), the Project Engineering Division offers aSelective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) Shell DeNOx System. Themajor advantage of this system is that it works at lowtemperature between 120°C to 400°C and operates at lowpressure drop.

The Shell DeNOx System is based on the addition of Ammoniato the NOx containing flue gas and passing the mixture overan active catalyst which converts the nitrogen oxides (NO andNO;) to harmless and naturally occurring N; and H;0. Areduction of more than 98% is achieved.

As this systemworks at low temperature and low pressure drop, itresults in increase in throughput and low operatingcost.

In India, the Division has supplied this system toGujarat State Fertilisers and Chemicals Ltd. for theirCaprolactum Plant-1, with reduction well withinpollution norms.

W elding rotators are essential aids in the fabrication of tanks, barrels, pressure vessels, etc. All models of weldingrotators consist of a drive unit and an idler unit. In the drive section, rollers are motorised and regulated by a controlpanel. The idler section is identical to the drive unit in all respects except that there is no drive arrangement. Threedifferent models of rotators have been depicted here. Any other specific requirement other than our standard range, can be custom designed to suit the job.

W elding manipulators bring the welding head to the work. The installation is ideally suited for long welds or repetitivework where high travel speeds can yield high productivitywith better quality of welding. The co-ordinated movementsof the column and boom enable the welding head to reachthe most intricate part and apparently inaccessible weldjoints. The installation is compatible with our MIG/MAG, SAWand TIG welding equipment. It can be ideally combined withPositioner and Rotator to make a totally comprehensivewelding system. It is especially suited for Advani-Oerlikonsautomatic weld head in the UP-15-CP range coupled withthe touched-type seamtracking system, model SEEKER-100.Together, both make the most up-to-date welding systemyou can opt for. Tailormade designs can be offered to carryadditional grinding/buffing attachments or flux recoverysystems at the other end.
