In the Heavy Series according to DIN 3015 (Part 2), SPAL Weld Plates made of Steel (STAUFF Material Codes W1, W2 and W3) with the STAUFF sizes 8S and 9S (DIN sizes 6 and 7) will be manufactured from now on as a one-piece design using the forging process as standard. Previously, these types – as is the case for the sizes and materials of all other STAUFF Weld Plates – were supplied as a multi-piece design with welded nuts. The new manufacturing method will now be applied for the first time for the sizes mentioned above so that STAUFF can continue to satisfy the claim to be a leader in terms of quality and technology in the field of industrial pipe, tube and hose clamps according to DIN 3015, with competitive conditions that satisfy the market. The advantage for the user is obvious: thanks to the improved mechanical properties of the forging stock, material can be saved at points that are not subjected to heavy loads, which leads to advantages in terms of weight compared to the previous designs. This can be seen when viewing the recesses on the undersides of the Weld Plates. As a matter of course, the design change has no negative impact on the mounting capability and resilience of the components. The transition to the new design will take place gradually starting in June 2013. The existing order codes remain unchanged. In the Heavy Series according to DIN 3015 (Part 2), SPAL Weld Plates made of Steel

(STAUFF Material Codes W1, W2 and W3) with the STAUFF sizes 8S and 9S (DIN sizes

6 and 7) will be manufactured from now on as a one-piece design using the forging

process as standard.

Previously, these types – as is the case for the sizes and materials of all other STAUFF

Weld Plates – were supplied as a multi-piece design with welded nuts.

The new manufacturing method will now be applied for the fi rst time for the sizes

mentioned above so that STAUFF can continue to satisfy the claim to be a leader in

terms of quality and technology in the fi eld of industrial pipe, tube and hose clamps

according to DIN 3015, with competitive conditions that satisfy the market.

The advantage for the user is obvious: thanks to the improved mechanical properties

of the forging stock, material can be saved at points that are not subjected to heavy

loads, which leads to advantages in terms of weight compared to the previous designs.

This can be seen when viewing the recesses on the undersides of the Weld Plates.

As a matter of course, the design change has no negative impact on the mounting

capability and resilience of the components.

The transition to the new design will take place gradually starting in June 2013.

The existing order codes remain unchanged.
